Describe your role to someone who is not familiar with the construction industry or Colas USA.
The members of our Human Resources Department wear many hats, but I mainly work with and for our employees in many ways including OnBoarding, benefits, training, compliance, recruiting, etc.

What has been your favorite project so far?
My favorite project so far has been helping with the implementation process & roll out of the new Barrett Industries Employee Portal/Intranet Site.

What drew you to working within the construction industry?
It happened by accident! I was hired as an Office Temp in 2005 and immediately knew this was where I wanted to stay and build a career. My father was a general contractor so the people, employees, materials etc. were familiar to me and made me feel “at home.”

What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day?
My biggest motivator is our people. I have worked with our employees for 16 years, and they have truly become my second family.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I’m a huge fan of the Canadian sitcom, Schitt’s Creek.
