Describe your role to someone who is not familiar with the construction industry or Colas USA.
My role as logistics dispatcher is to coordinate trucking needs for our internal and external customers for the NY Central Region. I also track rates and job information to ensure that the billing and payment processes are streamlined throughout the trucking center.

What has been your favorite project so far?
The logistics department is a new team that was just put together this year. Watching the team come together for a common goal has been my favorite project so far. Working together to create a system that is efficient for everyone, and customer friendly has been a great experience.

What drew you to working within the construction industry?
I started as a scale clerk at the age of 23 years and had no idea what I was getting myself into, I considered it a new experience. The construction industry poses many challenges, and these daily challenges are what keep me coming back. I enjoy problem solving and coordinating to make everything work in sync to the best of my abilities.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day?
There are so many things that change day to day within the construction industry that missing a day feels like a week. Staying in the loop and making sure my job is done efficiently daily motivates me to go to work every day.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I enrolled back into college in 2019 and graduated cum laude in April 2022 with my bachelor’s degree in social science.
