Colas Inc. is proud to announce the acquisitions of the assets of Seaboard Construction Company, a division of Plant Improvement Company, Inc. located in Brunswick, GA, effective January 31, 2025.
“This is an exciting acquisition for Reeves and Colas USA,” said John Harrington (President & CEO of Colas USA). “It aligns with our strategy to strengthen our operations in order to better serve our customers. Reeves, along with the talented people from Seaboard, will continue to serve the Georgia market as it has since 1955.”
Seaboard was founded in 1946 by Harold James Friedman and sold to the Shepherd family in 1980 to be integrated into Plant Improvement Company, Inc. They specialize in asphalt paving and grading.
“The Shepherd family, which has built roads and infrastructure projects in the Southeastern United States and throughout the world since the early part of the 20th century, is honored and pleased to know that the talented management team and employees at our Seaboard Division of Plant Improvement Company will be joining Reeves and the Colas Group. The geographic fit for Seaboard with the operational presence of Reeves in Southeast Georgia will mean a bright and growing future for all parties,” said Steve Shepherd (Vice President of Plant Improvement Company, Inc.).
